People who know me know I’m not much of a beer drinker. In fact, my idea of a great pizzeria is one with a killer wine list where you can spend 5 euro on the pizza and 45 on the wine = good value for 50 euro! But the real deal in Italy is birra artigianale (think 750ml of bottle fermented beer from one of the many micro breweries – served like wine). At DOC in Mornington, sommelier Loris knows his beer (and his wine) and served a 32 Via dei Birrai Oppale – a fruity and refreshing Ale that was perfect with the pizza.
