Liguria, the second smallest region in terms of wine production, hugs a narrow strip of the coast from the border of France to Tuscany. Known as the Italian Riviera and famous for its beaches and the picturesque villages of Portofino and the Cinque Terre, the regions two main whites, Vermentino and Pigato, pair beautifully to the abundant seafood and pesto.
