Aglianico, Aglianico & Aglianico!

Basilicata is a fascinating ancient region in the south of Italy that borders Puglia, Campania and Calabria. Two things stand out in Basilicata, the ancient ‘i sassi’ – stone houses – in the UNESCO city of Matera, and Aglianico del Vulture, from the extinct volcano of Vulture, which rivals neighbouring Taurasi as one of the best, and long lived, reds of the south.
