PUGLIA

Primitivo, Negroamaro & Nero di Troia

Puglia forms the heel of the Italian peninsula’s boot and is a major agricultural area with rich red soils and a hot Mediterranean climate with very little rainfall. The local varieties have adapted well to the unique environment and wines are made from the cooler northern parts to the scorching southern tip where vineyards practically reach the sea. The main varieties are Nero di Troia, Primitivo and Negroamaro.
