Trebbiano Spoletino & Sagrantino

Located in central Italy, Umbria is totally landlocked and known as the green heart of Italy because of its rich vegetation. The region is hilly and mountainous and perfect for growing grapes. Sangiovese is grown here too, but the regions most important grape is Sagrantino, a mighty red that takes some taming in the cellar and a few years in the bottle. Recently, the re-discovery of the white Trebbiano Spoletino has seen steady growth.
